Educated as a fine artist at Gettysburg College, DeCesare spent nearly 20 years working as an art gallery assistant and picture framer before leaving this field in 2005 to devote his full attention to painting and printmaking.  Since then, his work has been displayed in portfolios and exhibitions at galleries, museums and universities throughout the United States and abroad and is included in the collections of the Library of Congress, Georgetown University and D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities among others.  His work has been featured in several publications and periodicals, among them:  American Impressions: Contemporary Printmaking, The Artist's Illustrated Encyclopedia and American Artist: Drawing Magazine.
